Life as a MS (medical student) in an Obstetrics Department is like a HO. First day like "Cuak nya nak jumpa dengan MO (medical officer) tuu. Garang nyyeerr". But, 2nd day and 3rd day were fine. Making new friends with IIUM's students is a joy.

Me: Assalamualaikum Dr,

Unknown man: Waalaikumusalam, student USIM ke?

Me: Haah. Dr HO ke MO?

Unknown man: .... (aku tak dengar tapi die senyum), UIA

Me: Oh Dr grad dr UIA (sambil kene gelak dengan the unknown man)

Unknown man: Student jugak lah!!! (sambil kene gelak)

Me: Erk! (kaver malu dengan cara memblah kan diri dari situ) kohkohkoh

They are really helpful and obliging enough (^_^)

Him: Cepat pakai sterile gloves. Sambut placenta ni

Aku: Wee~

Finally, the enjoyable night ends up at 6 a.m and I didnt have my night for 24 hours. Record!

This Sunday I'm going to Temerloh again to start a new journey and challenging 2 months excursion that it was destined for me through a narrow and confined passage to meet a kuty-muty little baby instead of meeting old-age people.

I'm preparing myself to be deaf for a while when they start to scream and scold at us like ~~hell~~ mad by plugging a bale of cotton on both side of my ears while other may say "It's ok, it is like a bread and butter in Obstetric posting"

And for those who wanna go to the toilet, please do it so before class as you may either have constipation or incontinence due to super cuak. kehkehkeh

Habis Sudah Cuti Sekolah [Sabah Part 1]

Ini sepatutnya dilakukan semalam. But I couldn't post it disebabkan internet yang tidak memberangsangkan. Anggap lah macam hari ini adalah hari Ahad hehehe

Cuti kali ini tidak seperti cuti-cuti yang sebelumnya. Tidak sepuas seperti mencabut biore pore-pack dari hidung ini. Mungkin dengan khabar-khabar yang tidak enak ditelan, tapi tidak mengapa, there's must be something behind it. So, lets face it!

Baru selesai menyiapkan logo MSC. Amin akan hantarkannya pada Dr Suhaila. Yeahh babeh, I'm done with it! Tatkala menyiapkan logo, sudah 210x Lenka dan Bunkface menjerit-jerit di iTunes. Lagu sama berulang-ulang kali didengarkan.

Semalam meronda satu Bangi untuk mencari klinik-klinik yang best untuk dibuat General Practitioner posting. Adalah dalam 10 buah (kalau lebih pun, 1/2 je) dan kami yang tinggal di Bangi ada la dalam 9-10 orang. Oh, cukup ke ni?? InsyaAllah cukup hehehe

Esok sekolah bermula, dan pada masa yang sama akan ku ketemu kembali lecturer kesayangan pelajar-pelajar USIM, Prof Kannan Kuty.

Nota Kaki:

1) Esok kami akan berkumpul dan bersatu semula sebelum dipisahkan lagi

2) Kemudian, kami ada 3 minggu sebelum peperiksaan yang seterusnya datang menemui kami

Aku ingat lagi, seorang kawan ku ngomel padaku "Azah ni asyik exam aja!"

Sejak masuk clinical years, memang exam=life

3) Teringin untuk pergi ke tempat-tempat yang menarik yang tidak pernah lagi aku pergi seperti Ireland atau mungkin New Zealand dan Aussie. Korea? Hanya selepas Haaziq menunjukkan gambar-gambar mereka di sana.

MINI Cabrio mungkin tidak sesuai untuk digunakan di Malaysia melainkan jika mahu digunakan di alam maya. Tapi apa yang aku pamerkan adalah jantung hatiku, MINI Cooper.

Selalu cakap kat ayah acapkali kalau ternampak kelibat MINI di jalan raya "Nanti nak beli satu". Ayah gelak saja.

Salam and Sobahul Khair Malizziaa (Selamat Pagi Malaysia)

Last night I went for a talk organized by PERSIAP PPUKM given by Prof Shahrir (beloved clinical lecturer ever!), Prof Nabishah (I think she taught us during preclinical years, once lah!) and Prof Harlina (first time I met her). The talk was not like toooo skema-skema or I should say, formal but it was more like between parents and their children. Advices and guidance concerning prudent future action and for the first time I took it profoundly.

Well, Prof Har said, there must be at least 5 minutes session every night to reflect and to be mused upon ourself. Do we?

Then, Prof Nabishah reminded us, "...to get used with the idea of criticism and learn how to use it..." as we are sooo damn expert [1] and capable in criticizing people.

[1] it is not an exclamation in expressing anger or anything like it but it is used for emphasis something.

Advice to the young ones.....

Many evolutions of Medical students had passed since 10s of years ago. Many good teachers had passed. Times are changing ...

10s of years ago, teachers are feared and respected. Students will come no matter how fearful they are or how boring they are.

As I said times are changing ... Maybe students should put themselves as teachers too. We teach to facilitate and to encourage research and commitment in our students. We have our own ways.

Or have we forgotten the teacher student bonding in the ancient days where the student will honor the teacher like his or her parents. Your wisdom or knowledge will depend on how you honor your teachers.

Personally, I feel every batch has their own image and characteristics. Times are changing and times are bad. Sometimes I really don't like what I hear about certain batches. But I have to love all of you the same and I have to prepare to get hurt in the process.

Perhaps all of you are thinking that pre clinical phase and clinical phase of medical school is the same and the study technique is the same. In the clinical phase you will be "hungry" for lectures no matter how boring because they are scanty and rare. You only have 7 weeks to cover major postings and every type of extra classes by lecturers such as me can help every single minute.
But then I am afraid if my classes are boring, then only a few will come and that can hurt real bad ... Hurt real bad ...

Therefore I plead to all of you please, please, please change your ways.

In this picture is Mrs. Rosny. She was my ex-teacher when I was in 3rd Street High School (Sekolah Jalan 3 je!). Literally, she was my PKHEM lah. Sangat takut dengan dia!

When we (my mom and her friends and I) were en route to Pasar Khadijah from our place in Grand Riverview Hotel, she poked me and asked "Dah ada boyfriend?"

I was like " Errr" Okeyy I was speachless because she ~~was~~ is my teacher (still be)!

"Kamu wanita yang berkerjaya, harus fikir-fikirkan"

Cepatlah sampai ke destinasi-ngumamku.

Again, speechless and voiceless.

Finally, dapatlah sehelai dua kain batik yang diingini...

Jalan-jalan disekitar Kelantan Darul Naim. This is my second time here. First time being here was 9 years ago. Kali ni saja ikut mami dan pengetua-pengetua Daerah Hulu Langat datang melawat kat sekolah-sekolah disekitar Kelantan. Antaranya, SMK Dato Perdana and SEMENZA. I was impressed with SEMENZA! Why? Maybe because of the teachers and the teammates.

Mari pekena air kelapa!

Salam

Exam was finally over. Our doa of not having Mr Hamid as our examiner was granted but he was replaced by other lecturers from IIUM that we were not have the chance to meet at all. And I got them as my examiners!! Hampeh!

Hopefully, I have a good result! And the others too!

Now I am in Kelantan. I thought of spending the last day of raya with my friends here but unluckily, they are not here yet! (aku pulak yang bersemangat balik kampung orang haha :P)
